Cubs Scouts May we take this opportunity to remind you that Cub Scouts may play in Lazer Games during the forthcoming County Camp. Please phone your leader if this might be a problem.
Scouts/Explorer Scouts There is a strong possibility that all Scouts may participate in water based activities such as canoeing/kayaking/windsurfing/sailing. May we take this opportunity to remind you that all Scouts should bring suitable (spare) footwear such as trainers, water shoes or pumps – please note wellies, crocs, open toed sandals, backless shoes and bare feet are not suitable for these types of activities. (No suitable footwear means no participation)
With an event of this size we need extra help from parents and adults to help pitch tents and setup camp and subsequently breakdown and transport equipment back to the Pastoral Centre. See how you can help with this below:
The plan is to pitch the tents on Wednesday the 1 July at 7:00PM at Blackwell. This gives us a chance to resolve any issues we may have with equipment. Hopefully by 7:00 PM the team that are transporting the equipment from the stores will have arrived on site.
Depending on the weather and the help received we may need further help on Thursday but we'll obviously see on the day.
Sunday the camp Leaders will try and breakdown the camp as much as possible but we need help to transport the equipment back, when the cubs/scouts are picked up. (This is to be confirmed). If you're happy to help then please do PM me or send an e-mail.
Don't forget that even if your child is not attending the camp, and you can spare an hour, you are more than welcome to come and give us a hand!
Today over 30 Cubs from Masvil and Concorde went to take part in the Annual Rea Valley District Cub Sports Day, and we had an amazing time! We won so many things I lost count of our certificates and medals. All the Cubs did SO well!
The best news for us was that Masvil came overall 3rd in the under 9½ age category, and Concorde came overall 2nd in the under 10½ age category (and masvil came joint 3rd. We'll get a full list of awards on here as soon as possible in our discussion area.
